Custom Aquarium Design Notice
Built-In Aquariums for Offices and Commercial SpacesWe design and install custom built-in aquariums for private offices, reception areas, waiting rooms, and other professional interiors. Our team can adapt aquarium projects to different wall shapes, including niches, recesses, and curved walls.
Customers may choose from several aquarium models, lighting systems, filtration options, aquatic plants, and suitable freshwater or marine fish. We also provide guidance on maintenance requirements, feeding schedules, and long-term care.
Please contact our design team with a description of your space, the approximate size of the wall area, and your preferred style. We can then suggest possible solutions and prepare a preliminary price estimate.
You work in an office where there is a curved wall with a deep recess. You would like this space to be used for a beautiful built-in aquarium with fish and aquatic plants.
You decide to write to a custom aquarium design company to ask what solutions they can offer.
Write an email to the aquarium design company. In your email, do the following:
-
Describe the place where you want the aquarium to be installed — a curved wall or a recess in your office.
-
Explain what kind of aquarium you would like — for example, built-in, elegant, low-maintenance, and suitable for an office.
-
Ask whether the company can suggest models or technical solutions for this type of wall.
-
Request a price list or preliminary cost estimate.
-
Ask what fish, plants, lighting, and filtration options are available.
-
Ask about installation time and maintenance services.
Write as much as you can in complete sentences.
Your email should be polite, clear, and specific.

Professor Clive’ Post:
In our next seminar, we’ll be discussing effective ways to combat climate change. Some people believe that governments should offer incentives to the general population for reducing individual carbon footprints—for example, subsidies for using public transport or switching to solar energy. Others argue that climate action should focus primarily on large corporations, since they are responsible for the majority of emissions.
What do you think is the best approach? I’d love to hear your perspectives before class
.
Student 1: Cloe
I believe offering incentives to individuals is essential for any meaningful progress. While corporations do emit large volumes of greenhouse gases, individuals make millions of small decisions every day—about what to eat, how to travel, and how to consume energy. These decisions, when scaled up, have a massive impact.
For instance, when governments provide subsidies for electric bikes or reduce public transport fares, more people adopt eco-friendly habits. A friend of mine in the Netherlands switched to biking daily after a government incentive, and her carbon footprint dropped significantly. Moreover, engaging individuals builds long-term awareness and behavioral change, which can pressure corporations through consumer choices.
Student 2: Steve
Although individual action is valuable, I think the primary responsibility should lie with corporations. According to recent studies, around 70% of global carbon emissions come from just 100 companies. That scale of impact far outweighs individual efforts.
Incentivizing citizens while allowing major polluters to continue business as usual seems ineffective. Instead, strict regulations, carbon taxes, or emission limits on corporations would lead to immediate and measurable environmental benefits. For example, when stricter emission laws were enforced in Germany’s manufacturing sector, pollution levels dropped without needing widespread lifestyle changes among citizens.
